<p>The territory of Armenia covers 29,800 square kilometers, as of 2004, including a forest area of 3,050.0 square kilometers, as of 2000.</p>
<p>The population of the country makes up 3.0 millions, as of 2004. The population growth rate amounts to -0.4 percent.</p>
<p>The population growth rate was on the same level in the years 2003 and 2004.</p>
<p>The life expectancy rate in Armenia is estimated as 71.4 years, as of 2004.</p>
<p>In the same year, the infant mortality rate per one thousand births made up 29.0.</p>
<p>As far as education issue is concerned, the rate of primary school enrollment in the year 2004 amounted to 100.9, secondary school enrollment – 91.4, and tertiary school enrollment – 26.2.</p>
<p>The ratio of girls in relation to boys in primary and secondary schools made up 102.8, as of 2004.</p>
<p>The Gross National Income of Armenia (Atlas Method) amounted to 3.2 billions in 2004. The same figure per capita in the same year equaled 1,060.0.</p>
<p>The Gross Domestic Product was 3.1 billions in 2004.</p>
<p>The GDP growth rate per year reached 7.0 percent in the year 2004.</p>
