			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>According to the classification of the World Bank among the countries of the Central Asian region and Europe Azerbaijan is said to be classified as having a lower middle-income. The country was about 86,000 square kilometers in 2000.</p>
<p>When analyzing the economic statistics of Azerbaijan between the years of 2000 and 2004 CNI indicator has increased from $4.9 billion up to $7.8 billion. Annual GDP growth was that of 10.2% in 2004 in comparison with 11.1% of the year 2000. The indicators of the inflation were expressed by 12.5% and 6.4% in 2000 and 2004 accordingly.</p>
<p>The population of the country has increased from 8.0 million to 8.3 million within 5 years. Life expectancy indicated 71.8 years in 2000 and 72.3 years in 2004. Another social indicator manifesting fertilities rate on the contrary has reduced to a certain extent. One can be observed 2.1 births per woman in 2000 and 2.0 births in 2004. 93.0 in 2000 indicated mortality rate (under 5) in comparison with 89.8 in 2004</p>
<p>Anyway in general one should note the annual population growth from 0.8% to 0.9%. And the mentioned above indicators make a contribution to the characteristic of the whole economy.</p>
