Though fertility rate has decreased from 6.0 births per women to 5.7. Mortality rate has also revealed its decrease showing number 95.0 in 2000 and 89.6 in 2004.

Economic indicators are also to be defined. Benin GNI per capita was $340.0 billion in 2000 and $450.0 billion in 2004. GDP indicator was $2.3 billion and increased to $4.1 billion within 5 years. Due to certain government measures inflation has been reduced. Its annual indicators were 3.3% and 1.4% for the years of 2000 and 2004 accordingly.
